              Teachers Recruitment Board released Notification no. 13/2019, dated 27.11.2019 for the direct recruitment for the post of 97 Block Educational Officers in the Directorate of Elementary Education for the year 2018-19. Teachers Recruitment Board conducted the Computer Based Examination / Test for the direct recruitment for the post of Block Educational Officer from 14.02.2020 to 16.02.2020. In this examination 42,686 candidates appeared.

             Teachers Recruitment Board released the normalized marks on 27.01.2021 for all the candidates who appeared for examination. After the publication of normalized marks, Writ Petitions were filed before the Hon’ble High Court and Judgement delivered on 27.02.2021. Based on the Judgement, Teachers Recruitment Board revised the normalized marks and released the same on 21.12.2021.

             In the web Notification dated 28.12.2021, Teachers Recruitment Board issued Corrigendum to the earlier Board’s Notification no. 13/2019, dated 27.11.2019 for direct recruitment for the post of Block Educational Officer 2018-19 for Para “2. The Details of Vacancies” and increased the number of vacancies from 97 to 120 and corrections were also addressed for necessary clarification on implementing horizontal reservations for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM).

             Since the clarification sought from the Government regarding PSTM G.Os. (for selecting 23 additional posts for the years 2019-20 and 2020-21) is yet to be received, Teachers Recruitment Board released the Certificate Verification list in the 1:2 ratio on 10.01.2022 for the 97 posts which were initially notified. Representations received from the candidates after releasing the list of candidates for Certificate Verification were addressed and Certificate Verification list was revised accordingly.

             Certificate Verification has been conducted on 19.01.2022, 20.01.2022 as scheduled and on 28.01.2022 for the additionally called candidates. During the Certificate Verification all the original educational qualification certificates and other priority certificates / documents have been verified by the Board and the eligibilities of the candidates have been finalised based on Notification no. 13/2019, dated 27.11.2019, applicable Government orders and other rules in vogue.

             Now, the Board releases the provisional selection list for 96 posts (one turn BC Autism not selected due to non-availability of suitable candidate) among the notified vacancies. As notified, eligible candidates have been provisionally selected based on their Written Examination marks following merit-cum-Communal Rotation and as per rules in vogue.``` ``` The selection process for the remaining 23 vacancies will be carried out by this Board after receiving clarification from the Government.

             This selection is purely provisional and is subject to the outcome of Writ Petitions pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras / Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.

             The appointment orders for the provisionally selected candidates will be issued separately by the Directorate of Elementary Education after satisfying all conditions for appointment.
